I start by laying down watercolor washes and then add detail and highlights with a variety of deeper watercolors, and perhaps some ink, pencil, oil pastel, or crayon for added texture and emphasis, reflecting the unique light of our area, the changing seasons, and local landscapes and scenes. I like to explore everyday vistas – from my garden – to Woods Hole Passage – and beyond.
